Sugar Scrubs!

One of my loves since about this time last year has been sugar scrubs! They are really awesome! This is one of the presents I got from my mom for my birthday, and I've been loving the sugar scrub I have chosen to try open so far. This picture is from Melaleuca.com, and this set included 3 sugar scrubs. I've been using the Mangarin Orange one, and it smells really good!

To kind of make sure you don't run out of your sugar scrubs fast, I reccomend using it once a week, or twice. I usually use it every Sunday and Wednesday, so it might be a fun thing for you to decide which days you would want to use your sugar scrub! The main purpose for using sugar scrubs is as an exfoliator, so it will be perfect if you live somewhere that is just getting over winter. Sugar scrubs do make your shower floor a little slippery, so be careful! But other than that, they are a great product to try! Just find a brand you like, and a scent you love, and you will be on your way!

Lush!

This is a Candy Cane Bubble Bar, and I acutally got it from Lush during their 'buy 1 get 2 free' promotion for all holiday items. The Lush near me is about 35 min away, and I probably go to that mall 2 times a year. I made it a point to stop at Lush when I went there during the last week of December because I have never tried anything from Lush before. My best friend and I each got one of these, and I got my mom one, and we spent the night together on New Year's, and we all loved it! I'm really happy that I tried something from Lush and when I go back to that mall, I'll deffinately pick more stuff up :) The candy cane bubble bar doesn't smell like mint, or anything like that. It kind of smells like cotton candy, and it's really sweet and nice! Outfit of the Day!

This is the shirt, necklace, and shorts I wore today :) The shirt was from Forever 21, and it was $5.80. What a deal right? I got it yesterday! I've had these bermudas for a while, and they are from the brand Vigoss. I also paired it with a lipgloss from Sephora called Precious Pink which is a shimmery baby pink color. I also wore Navy Blue slippers from OldNavy. They're pretty famous for being 2 for $5 :) That was my outfit for today. I hope you enjoyed this! Please post a comment too

Reflection on 2009 and Resolutions for 2010!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe that it's 2010? Here are some of the things I am proud of accomplishing in 2009:
-Getting my driver's permit
-Turning 16 on 2 days ago
-Getting to go on a vacation this summer
-Started my junior year of high school
That's all that comes to mind right now : )
Resolutions for 2010:
-Getting a 4.0 in all quarters starting when I go back to school on the 5th
-I would like the house to be clean
-Read the bible more often
-Do school work ahead of time instead of leaving it to the last minute
-Eating healthier

Black Friday Haul!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their family and friends! The second best thing about Thanksgiving is Black Friday! I woke up at 4:45 and was totally excited about going shopping with my bestie. I was planning on leaving at 5:45, but we ended up leaving for the mall at around 6:25 in the morning. The first place we went to was Forever 21, and we went to some other stores around the mall.

This dress was from Forever 21, and it was
on sale for $7.99. I'm probably going to save it

to wear after the holidays just because it's such

a bright yellow on the skirt part of the dress.

It's really cute on though :)

This little pink top was something I found

at Forever 21, and it's really something I've

been on the hunt for for a while. I think it

was about $5.50 or $5.99.

This necklace and earrings set was $3.80!

I think it's such a great deal because you

are getting a matching set for a great deal!

Aren't these cute? I got those bows as

a pack of 6, and 3 went to my friend and 3

went to me, and we did the same thing

with this pin. I am so excited to wear

these bows in my hair! The earrings were

originally $4.80, but there was a buy one

get one 50% off, so it was $2.40. I'm starting to

notice that I like bows :)

Quick Review: Revlon Super Top Speed Clear Coat

If your a sucker for OPI Polishes like me, I assume you probably have the whole deal of every kind of basic polishes. For starters, it's deffinately helpful to have a top coat/base coat which can mostly be used for the same purpose, which is to coat your nails before you put colors on it, and after. I've noticed that top coat/base coat products work wonders any way you use them, but if you use a base coat as a top coat, it doesn't work. I have used Revlon Super Top Speed Clear Coat for years, but that was before I regularly did my nails. It's a cheap and affordable brand, and it's avaliable at drugstores. When I found out about OPI, I tried my first color, which was Miami Beet, and after about a month, I tried OPI's top coat. What I did was I used the top coat from Revlon on the big toe on my left foot, and my OPI top coat on my right foot. I was actually testing how much better the OPI top coat was compared to the Revlon one, and it turns out that my Revlon polish drided smoothly, and the toe I used my OPI coat on had a little bit of streaking going on. So, I think it's worth it to invest in OPI's colored polishes and use a trustable drugstore clear coat.

I do use OPI's base coat, and that's fine, but you can deffinately use Revlon's top coat as a base coat too :)
